CHR Metals is pleased to offer CNC (Computer Numeric Control)
plasma cutting service, for your industrial, commercial, or private needs.
We have one of the latest, state-of-the-art water table plasma machines, capable of handling sheets of steel up to 5' wide x 14' long, with good quality cutting capacity up to 1/2" thick metal. Excellent, smooth quality on 1/4" plate and thinner gauges.
Our machine is a Torchmate X, manufactured by a division of Lincoln Electric, a long-standing brand known for quality and dependability. The cutting power is provided by a Hypertherm 105 plasma machine. The machine features an air operated water table, which is raised up to the bottom of the metal being cut. The water absorbs most of the smoke and debris produced by plasma cutting, as well as keeping the metal cool, which helps prevent heat warpage. We add a biodegradable anti-rust/corrosion solution to our water.
Software used is CAD/CAM. If you can provide a .dxf file of your desired item, the machine can cut it. If you cannot create .dxf files, we can work off your drawings or samples and create the required cut files for you.
We have thousands of cut files already on hand, for decorative metal items, fire rings, driveway signs, business signs, specialty items, etc., in the following themes...Size can be adjusted from a few inches to up to 10 or 12 feet wide:

Our software features automatic nesting, which ensures minimum material waste, when multiple parts need to be cut. Signs, designs and letters, no problem! We also have the Design2Fab Sheet Metal and HVAC software package, which will layout and cut any sheet metal fitting you may need, from square to rounds to offsets, round gore elbows, transitions, boots, tees, etc., with perfect fits for assembly.
